We are looking to add an accomplished Procurement Manager to our organization. The Procurement manager is responsible for purchasing raw materials, finished goods and services. He or she will be tasked with achieving cost savings/optimization for the organization.

Job Description:
• Search for profitable suppliers, initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Manage relationships with other procurement managers to increase business networking
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Constantly assess suppliers to gain maximum quality
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness ? Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
• Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, Research & Development, Accounting, Operations, the Warehouses and IT to ensure a seamless integration between departments regarding procurement

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement purchasing programs that drive highest quality, lowest total cost and on-time delivery performance
• Establish inventory targets and maintain re-order points
• Monitor and report Supplier delivery performance
• Financial budgeting and monitoring of department expenses
• Develop, maintain, and improve policies and procedures for the operation of department activities
• Fulfill departmental staffing requirements, provides coaching and conducts performance appraisals

Required skills
• Have 4 years of Purchasing experience
• Have intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English & Dutch
• Proficient with Exact/MRP procurement system
• Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production
• Strong leadership, customer service, problem-solving communication, negotiation, tact, judgment and organizational skills
